Snowboarding Places in Turkey
When you think of Turkey, you probably think mainly of the sun, the sand of the sea. But Turkey is a huge country with just about every terrain imaginable, including some world-class ski slopes. The mountain of Turkey gets a lot of snow and perfect weather for snowboarding in the winter.

Where should you go if you are looking for a great skiing experience in Turkey? We have made a list of ski / snowboard places for you

Palandöken:
Perhaps the best slopes in Turkey are in Palandöken, Erzurum. The mountain is only about 15 km from the airport, so you can literally get off the flight and ski down at high speed in under an hour. It is also one of the few ski slopes in all of Turkey that guarantees snow between December 1 and March 30 due to the investment in artificial snow in case of unexpected weather conditions.

This mountain is 3,176 meters high, with no forest, making it absolutely the perfect location, altitude and climate for skiing day and night as it has an ultra-modern lighting system along the slopes. It features one of the longest natural ski routes of any mountain in the world and provides facilities for visitors to the house, regardless of their needs or price ranges. It should be noted that the Sarıkamış resort in eastern Turkey is located 50 kilometers from the center of Kars, with 14 kilometers of slopes and four ski lifts with an altitude between 2100 and 2600 meters.

Uludağ:
Uludağ is located just outside the city of Bursa and is perhaps the best known and most popular ski resort in Turkey. It is a short trip outside of Istanbul where Bursa can be reached by a pleasant ferry across the Sea of Marmara. Uludağ is a beautiful mountain and you can ski down with vistas of the entire city opening up to you. Being so close to a big city has the added benefit of being able to spend your days skiing while enjoying Bursa's cuisine and culture in the evening!

Saklıkent:
This ski area in the Beydağları section of the Taurus Mountains has a few chalets and a full ski complex. It is 2,550 meters at the highest point and is great for both beginners and intermediate skiers, or of course for anyone who wants to experience the magic of this region.

The season officially runs from December to April, with most of the time there relatively sunny with clear skies, giving you those views you've been looking for. February and March are the perfect months to go skiing because the weather is more than warm on the beach and the skiing is still full throttle.

Beneath the mountains of Saklıkent is the breathtaking gorge of the same name. This gorge is a famous summer spot for hiking with the cliffs protruding above it, and the entire region is perfect for hiking and taking in the beautiful views. Even if you are not a skier, the views here are absolutely worth it. The natural beauty and ideal location of this resort make it one of the world's most unique places for a spring or fall vacation.
